KDE 4.0: From this...I have been using KDE 4 even before it was a golden release. I started using it when KDE 4.0 was in the betas. I was impressed with it, especially plasma, even though it was extremely limited. You couldn't move the widgets around it, you couldn't change the size...it was a big giant panel fixed to the bottom of the screen. There wasn't even a native Kontact program! When KDE 4.0 was released, people complained saying it should have waited six more months.

KDE 4.2 called "The Answer" has been released! Congrats to everyone that helped make this released a reality. And thanks to the Arch developers for making the packages so quickly!

KDE 4.2: Released on the 27th January 2009KDE 4 is the most recent KDE release. On the 27th January 2009, the KDE team released KDE 4.2. This introduced many new features and fixed stability problems. It is now very feature-full, close to the amount KDE 3 has. If you prefer KDE 3, the older, more stable version, look here. If you want to be on the absolute bleeding edge, a SVN repo is available.
