VLC with 41 votes! Personally I prefer Dragon Player for KDE4 and MPlayer for Gtk DEs. But VLC is very nice So I'll be adding it to the application recommendations page...

Unfortunately, I'm unable to get a hold of a decent VLC screenshot. If anyone is out there using VLC (I'm sure there are a lot Could you please take a screenshot of it playing a movie (but keep it clean!).
