I want KDE 4.1 back!
A few weeks ago, I was using Arch Linux with KDE 4.1 SVN, and it was running great! The only problem was that it had no KPowersave, so I didn't get any powersaving programs. Even when my battery was about to run out nothing told me! So I decided to install Debian testing for a while, with KDE 3 because KDE 4.1 isn't available for it at the moment. I tried and tried to make it look like KDE 4, but each and every style I tried looked nothing like it. The only thing I could find was a Kicker background...
So now I really want to see KDE 4.1 SVN in it's glory again, because KDE 3 seems too primitive for my tastes. Compiz works pretty well, but I personally want to use KDE 4's KWin compositing, because a recently added feature is wobbly windows! I guess I will stay with Debian for now, until Arch Linux/KDE4 sorts out a few things, namely
- Fix flash on 64bit
- KPowersave or something similar (no Gnome dependencies please)
- Compiz Fusion to work without crashing my laptop
- Splashy to work fully (a thread tells me someone is working on this)
